How can I add the Phone app back to CarPlay after iOS 18.3.2 update?

CarPlay nor my phone will not allow the addition of the Apple phone app removed from CarPlay in the IOS 18.3.2 update to my phone

Settings > General > CarPlay > [choose your infotainment system] > Customize

Phone app is not listed among the apps that can be added or removed using the Customize option… this is exactly why I am asking for assistance

If any of Screen Time or Parental Controls or Focus mode is enabled, disable all of that and check again.
