iphone SE texts are going to android email

Starting a couple of weeks ago, texts I send to my friends

android phone from my SE with ios 14.8 are being received as emails with my phone number@vzwpix.com. We both have Verizon as a carrier. This just started happening recently with no changes to either of our phones or email addresses and it has been working ok before this for years.
