Apple Numbers Text to columns

FirstName LastName in an Apple Numbers column. I'm trying to use the Text to Columns >Settings >Services >Text to Columns, then choose Space as the delimiter, I then click in the column added next to the one I'm wanting to split and paste. The result is FirstName,LastName. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing that places a comma instead of splitting the cell?

Hi Charlie,


The functions TEXTBEFORE and TEXTAFTER are your friends.



Formula in B2 is TEXTBEFORE($A2," ")

Formula in C2 is TEXTAFTER($A2," ")
