Apple Intelligence not available with Siri set to French (France)

Hello,

I’m currently running macOS Sequoia 15.4 on a MacBook Air M3 (2024), with:

• macOS interface language: English (US)

• Siri language: French (France)

• Region: France

According to Apple’s support page, French (France) is now officially supported by Apple Intelligence. However, I still get the message:

“Apple Intelligence is not available when Siri is set to French (France).”

I’d like to keep my macOS interface in English (for development and UI consistency), but interact with Siri in French, and still benefit from Apple Intelligence features.

➡️ Is this configuration going to be supported in the coming days?

➡️ Has anyone managed to activate Apple Intelligence with Siri set to French and macOS in English?

Any insight or confirmation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have the same issue. I have macOS set in English but Siri is to French on my iPhone (I don't want to ask in english for a timer when I cook pasta). When I switch Siri to English on macos, it switches also on my phone. Si I can have AI on my phone OR on macos, but not both. This is absolutely ridiculous.
