How do I stop recurring DoorDash charges through Apple Pay Wallet?

I saw a DoorDash charge come through recently and disputed with my Citi cc'd, got a new card to stop the charges & it keeps happening. I spoke with DoorDash, who said they have NO charges for me & call Citi cc'd & now for the 2nd time to reissue new cards within a week to BLOCK all subscriptions--that will be fun. I believe this is happening from the Apple Pay Wallet system as both the bank & DoorDash have no proof of charges AND the only intermediary is Apple Pay. This needs to be investigated.

You card has been compromised and the scammers have used your credit card details on their Door Dash account (probably a fraudulent account).

Your card details were skimmed when you swiped or inserted the chip in a transaction terminal. This typically happens at ATM’s, gas stations, convenience stores and grocery stores.

Once they obtained the information, they create a DoorDash account, add the details into Apple Pay and your bank (Citibank) verifies the account details. You should ask Citi why they did that.

When the card is added to Apple Pay, a merchant token is created. Until Citi cancels the token, the transactions will continue. The token does not belong to Apple and they don’t have the authority to cancel the token does. Tokens are property of the bank or the bank’s Token Service Provider.

When you contact Citi for the third time make sure you’re talking to the fraud department. They probably understand how merchant tokens work and can remedy the situation.
