Why does CarPlay require a call to play Spotify or Apple Music?

Last Friday my audio stopped working on car play for Spotify, I then tested Apple Music afterward to see if Spotify was the issue no Apple Music didn't work either. So I tried making a call and the audio started working and boom the music started playing after I ended the call, however a week later every time I get into my car I have to make a call to get my music to play, I tested it on my friends phone aswell again she couldn't play music. Does Anyone have any suggestions I've tried the basics like resetting my car, deleting Spotify and re-installing it, unlinking my vehicle and changing wires. nothing has worked I've also updated my phone, however, it's getting kinda annoying having to call to get my music playing every time my car is turned off any suggestions will be appreciated.
