How can I set the launchpad shortcut to F4?

On my MacBook Pro M4 the F4 key is the Spotlight search. However, in systems settings, this is set as a shortcut to Launchpad, which is what I actually want. But this opens the Spotlight search. The actual Launchpad shortcut is FN + F4. However, simply typing "F4" into the shortcut field for the Launchpad does nothing. It leaves the field blank. So how to I set F4 as the shortcut for Launchpad?

I read the page about function keys. If I turn on “Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys”, F4 opens the Launchpad but none of the other function keys work anymore, i.e. F1&2 will no longer adjust the brightness, which doesn't help. I also find the hot corners more of a nuisance than anything. From my previous MacBook I am used to F4 being the Launchpad and I find that much more useful than Spotlight since I remember my programs more by the icons than their name (the ones I use rarely, that is).
