CarPlay is missing in General settings on iPhone after iOS 18 update

I mistakenly done the ios18 update and since then the CarPlay hasn’t worked in my van or car.

I’ve looked in settings:general and noticed CarPlay isn’t now shown.

this has happened since the recent software uodate.

how can I restore CarPlay?
