[Sort of OT] Walking workout distinction

in Workouts what is the difference between Outdoor Walk and Indoor Walk? I understand the difference between outdoor and indoor, but is there an actual difference? Walking is walking. Does an Indoor Walk presuppose a stationary device like a treadmill? So if you're working through a large indoor area, say a giant airport like Istanbul, Indoor Walk or Outdoor Walk, or doesn't it matter?

Just curious about this.

Thanks very much.

For an outdoor walk, Apple Watch has a built-in GPS to track and provide a map of your walk in the workout summary on your iPhone. An indoor walk (with a treadmill, for example) will not track that metric.
