iPhone Disconnects When it starts importing on Photos app on mac

So i connect my iphone 13 pro max 512GB to a Macbook Air M2 16GB Ram 512 SSD,

i open the photos app on the mac i see my iphone and once it loads all the photos i click import all new.

After 10 seconds it disconnects?

We are not supposed to be getting such stupid problems when you spend 3000$ on Apple.

Does anyone else has this?

i've been trying to save the photos on my phone since the XS MAX 512GB and delayed it because the mac couldn't do it.

Before i bought the mac m2 for 2000$ i would just connect my iphone on 450$ windows laptop that i owned before, and just save my photos like a normal usb stick.....! pffff.

now i have to get online and write stupid posts about simple things that shouldnt happen!

It is an app problem, my guess is photos app cant handle a huge load of pics to back up. Because my Mac is empty, 420 gb free space.

I used the following app https://www.4easysoft.com/iphone-transfer/

and it lets you transfer everything you have on a specified folder.

So i backed up everything at my external HD directly.

My emotional distress is not with the people at this community, in communities such as this people are always helpful.

But while i was looking for an answer in this community i found other people with the same problem and no solutions.

And what really got under my skin is the fact that i had to purchase another app only to use it once a year.

My "beef" is with Apple overcomplicating the simplest things. DRAG AND DROP has been around for ages.

Thanks for taking the time and reply to me my friend.

Sounds like it could be limited storage. Apple recommends that you keep at least 10% of the storage free. I've seen crazy things appear even at 15% with 150 GB free.

On your 512GB Mac, how much storage is free?

On your iPhone, how much storage does it have, and how much is free?

Here's a hint: when you ask someone for help, Apple, or anybody, really, you're more likely to get results by being polite and serious, and  stating your concern without emotional outburst. Lay it out clearly and concisely, and include any details and maybe nicely sized screenshots that will help someone help you. Remember that the person who reads your post probably is in no way connected with the cause of your rant, and on this site we only answer the questions we want to.
