How do I optimise USB devices on macOS Sequoia 15.4

Several USB devices connected both directly or via a hub are now slow. Minimizing applications has slowed down as well. Is anyone else having these issues? All were working as usual under Sequoia 15.4

Any suggestions?

thanks

To avoid a session of Q&A, Q&A  and Q&A

Download the Application Etrecheck ( External Link ) directly from the Developer.

This is a Diagnostic Tool that makes no changes to the computer.

It makes a coherent and readable inventory of both the Hardware and Software used on the computer

The application is free or paid for added features.

I have seen Hubs that down-speed all devices if one device is USB2, but that doesn't explain the directly connected devices.

Take a look in System Information on the USB section to see what speed they are connected. You can open System Information by holding down the Option key and selecting it from the Apple Menu. If you see 480 Mbps in the speed section, it is connected via USB 2. Besides trying a different cable, I don't know how to resolve that problem.

How do you know WHAT it does to the computer?
I know 3 things

1 - I know the Developer is Trusted and makes an appearance on these Forums from time to time

2 - I know because I us this application on 3 different M-Class computer and previously on older Intel computer

3 - It has been reported from Reliable Sources that this same application has been invoke, from time to time, by Apple Support Technician
I have used Etrecheck on several different Macs over several years and it has proved to be a very reliable diagnostic tool. I really do not understand why certain ASC users keep attempting to discredit Etrecheck. If they have had a technical issue with it they should provide feedback to the developer. I'm beginning to wonder if these users are the same person but using different Apple Accounts?

Interesting observations, that are best left as observations, until proven otherwise 👍
