How can I disable email account list pop-up on iMac's lower left screen?

I recently updated my iMac to Sequoia 15.4.1 and I am now seeing something I have never seen before.

On the lower left side of the screen, a little window panel pops up showing a list of my email accounts.

See attached screenshot.

When I click any of the items, that window disappears.

What is this and how can I stop this from appearing?

Update: Curiously, it seems to be related to Preview.app

When I quit that application, it goes away.

The window also goes away when I click it but I can't find out why it's being generated in the first place.

I'm not sure why it's associated with this application, and/or what setting might be making it appear.

Any clues?
