Numbers on iPad STOCK() function will not update.

Using Numbers’s ready made sheet called My Stocks I transferred portfolio information which it accepted and and calculated correctly. Next day however, after the markets were closed for many hours, it will not update anything with the STOCK() function/malfunction. I change number of shares for a line item and it dutifully populates the sheet but no price update. I even inserted an edit point and selected the green check mark to no avail. Markets been closed for 6 hours. Do I have to wait longer?
