Insert table in cell, or be able to wrap table in Numbers app

I have this Budget template spreadsheet, which includes a few tables. In the "Money out" table, the "Groceries" row, I would like to insert a "sub-table", or make it a new table so it shows the grand total, but I can also wrap and unwrap as needed to enter data.

Not sure if I am explaining myself clearly, but basically I would like to add "subcells" to already an already existing cell.

Not sure if this is possible out of the box or if there are any workarounds and best-practices that you recommend.

Thanks in advance!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the definition of categories.

Inspector -> Organize -> Categories

Add the category to the list of columns to summarize. Now you'll automatically get a logical grouping for each of the different values in the category column, which can be hidden/shown as needed, summarized, etc.
