Apple Pay keeps getting declined online even when I have enough balance

So I’m trying to shop online, but every time I try and purchase my card declines. I have more than enough money though, so I don’t know why it does.

Why is Apple Pay declining my card even though it works elsewhere? I've added my debit card to Apple Pay successfully, and it shows as active in the Wallet app. However, every time I try to use it at a store that accepts Apple Pay, the transaction gets declined. The same card works perfectly when I use it physically or for online payments outside of Apple Pay. I've tried restarting my device and removing/re-adding the card, but the issue persists. My Apple Pay card keep getting declined, what can I do Each time I attempt to pay in stores with Apple Pay, and I select Apple Pay card in my wallet - hold phone to the terminal and when it prompts me to double click, I do so then I follow the next prompt to hold phone to the terminal and it declines even though I have more than enough money on card to cover the transaction. What can I do? It has happened so often and is so embarrassing that I have a card in hand to make my purchase.

I’ve never used Apple Pay although set up tried to use it today and all bank card details are accurate and just keeps declining pay any ideas of why? Tried to use Apple Pay for first time bank card details all accurate but keeps declining payment, any ideas please
