Apple Pay TouchID prompt not showing up at certain resolutions

I have a M1 MacBook and the issue that whenever I want to use Apple Pay in browser or in any other app the TouchID prompt does not come up and I cannot complete the transaction. This happens with Apple's built-in resolution profiles. Below picture is at resolution 1800x1169 (Apple more space) and TouchID does not show up when buying a movie in TV.

When I increase the resolution to 3024x1964 with BetterDisplay TouchID now comes up correctly.

Does anybody else have this problem and know a way to fix this?
