Potential Apple Pay scam via text message

Original Title: Recieved a text from 63**********9 number that a pending charge of $716.46 through Apple Pay originating from Orlando Fl could not be verified against my devices. They ask me to cal 8*******9 to dispute. Is this a scam

It’s a scam.

Simply block, report and delete the message.

most definitely, should have been sent to spam inbox depending on your settings, never ever phone these people they will tell you it’s just been processed and you can download form for refund, what you download will be genuine remote software enabling scammers access to your device ,they will ask you to log into bank to see if bank has processed payment , steal your log in details, all you have to do is check your apple pay on your device and you’ll see everything is fine , should watch a few scam baiters on youtube and learn how they do it to protect yourself, no genuine place will ever ask you to download remote software for refund
