Forced daily login for Apple Forum access

Do I really have to log in every day to access the Apple Forum? Every time I open discuss apple, I have to log in.

As your Apple Account is used for much more than just the site access, a bit more security is required than just a browser cookie.

Quitting and relaunching the browser is enough to ask for sign-in again.

For devices with FaceID/TouchID, it should be effortlessly easy to sign in again.

Yes, indeed, ever since I dropped my iPad mini and the power button and Touch ID were hit. Since then, this requirement has been a daily occurrence because it keeps giving me a message that my fingerprint is not recognized. It has been very frustrating and annoying.

Now you unfortunately have a first-hand understanding of how Touch/FaceID are convenience features …

… and not replacements for the underlying credentials.

A repair — or replacement — of your damaged device is the only path to what you’re seeking.
