Contact search shows only 5 results on my iPhone 15 with iOS 26

To all who have this probllem - I've found that in the contacts settings (upper right corner when you open the window with recent calls, there are three stripes) you can chanbe back to "classic" instead of "consolidated" (I don't know the exact English terms, I'm translating from my Polish version). However when you turn back to classic, the old version of contats comes back and it works like it used to. Now I can find everything again.

I have the exact same problem on IOS26. When I go into contats and press contacts then I press the magnifying glass as search it doesn't search through all my contats just through recent calls. This is very frustrating and makes my work difficult. Earlier I could just put a name and all the people with that name would show up as search result. Now if I can't remember their surname the search result will not include the people who I haven't recently called. Only if I type in the surname (which I quite often don't remember) the particular contact will show up.

I have the same problem, i put references in the contact name, for example, i go to a market and all the contacts in that market that i deal with i start with DAV as that represents the area for me.

now when i search DAV, i expect to see all contact that have DAV in them, but i only get 5,

I have a list of bunch of other bugs too.

I guess more and more CHAT_GPT code is getting into our devices now lol.

I have the same problem and it's very annoying. I rely on it as a musician to list all the singers or guitar players in my contacts. Please fix this soon 🙏
