Calendar app keeps freezing after updating to iOS 26 (iPhone 16 pro)

Whenever I open the calendar app it always freezes on something. Sometimes when I'm swiping through to other days or trying to zoom in/out of a certain day it also freezes. This only happened after I updated to iOS 26. I have plenty of iPhone storage, but my iCloud storage is near full. But I don't think that should affect the calendar app
