Notes bug on iOS 18—keyboard covers text after a few lines on iPhone 12 Pro

Notes worked great before. Now with the new iOS 18 update it only takes short notes then the keyboard pops up and covers the text so you can’t even see what you are typing. Who tested this before it was released? Is fairly obvious
