You need to look for a printer which supports Air Print since such a printer does not require any third party drivers from the manufacturer.
I also highly recommend you avoid HP because they have been known to cripple their printers after purchase through firmware updates. I would suggest looking at some printers from Brother since many forum contributors are fond of them.
