You will have to discuss warranty coverage with Apple. We user can not speak on behalf of Apple and their warranty policies.

Putting a "skin" on a computer may interfere with heat dissipation. FWIW, I would not apply a "skin".

The MacBook Air has no fan and thus, its ability to cool is through heat radiation from the aluminum body. Placing any film on your Mac will interfere with that heat transfer potentially leading to early Mac failure.


I recommend that you do not apply film on your MacBook Air and avoid playing roulette with your Apple warranty. That film could become very expensive in the long run…
