MacBook Air M1 won’t power without charger after long storage

My MacBook Air m1 model computer, which I bought in 2022 and used only used for 2 months, does not work without a power cable and there is no free replacement because it is not covered by the warranty, the battery problem of an apple product waiting in the box for 3 years and 2 months is not a user error, it is completely a production error. I am waiting for a solution from the authorities.

Really, are you serious ??

What happens if you left your brand new car unused & untouched for 3 years. Do you think you would be able to use that car? The car battery would be dead and if it is a car with a gasoline engine....the gas would be stale & have clogged fuel injectors. The tires will have flat spots assuming they held all of their air for that time. Would you also blame the manufacturer for the car not starting or working correctly after sitting 3 years?

Your laptop uses a Lithium Battery which must never have its battery charge drain to 0% for any length of time or it will permanently damage the battery. The longer the battery is at 0% the worse the damage. Apple has an article for how to maintain the health of the Lithium Battery in your laptop.....did you follow Apple's guidance by making sure to maintain the battery charge between 20%-80%? If not, how is it Apple's fault? Seems 100% a user issue.

A battery is a consumable item. It has chemicals in the battery to make it work and those chemicals & other internal items within the battery are in a very delicate balance. There are a lot of factors that determine a batteries health & lifespan....see the following Apple article for details:

Batteries - Maximizing Performance - Apple

Here is the specific section from that article which mentions how to properly store the battery/laptop:

Of course you can provide Apple with product feedback if you still disagree:

That is incorrect. That is how batteries function.

I have a hybrid car. When it sits unused for more than a week, its 12 volt battery dies. A few times, the car can be jumpstarted, but then when the behavior repeats, the battery requires replacement (at my expense).
