I accidently deleted the messenger app on my phone. I still have it on my desktop. How can I get it back onto my iphone home page??
I try to press the icon and it doesn't move.

Open the App Store on your iPhone and search for the Messenger app.
If it shows as a cloud icon, this would indicate it was uninstalled and can be downloaded back by tapping that.
If it shows as "Open", this would indicate it's already on your device and you likely just hid it. You can relocate it by swiping all the way left on your Home Screen until you reach the App Library, then in the top search for Messenger and drag the app back to your app pages.
