Floating Search Bar Overlay Bug on Safari and Chrome After iOS 26 Update
After updating to iOS 26, I started experiencing a frustrating issue on both Safari and Chrome browsers. A floating element, such as a search bar or icon, appears on the screen and covers a significant portion of the webpage content. This floating interface element remains fixed on the page and blocks access to parts of the site, making it very difficult to use the search results properly.
The problem manifests when using search engines, where the floating item overlaps the page content and sometimes causes the page to jump back to the top unexpectedly. This issue is not limited to Safari, as it also occurs on Chrome for iOS. Basic troubleshooting like clearing cache and restarting the device does not resolve it.
This bug appeared immediately after the official iOS 26 update and was not present before. It severely impacts usability and browsing experience, especially on websites that rely on fixed or sticky positions for their interface elements. I hope Apple addresses this issue promptly as it affects essential day-to-day tasks on iPhones.
Thank you for your help.
