Microsoft Office 365 crashes after Tahoe update on MacBook Pro

Hello. After the Tahoe update, my Microsoft Office applications (as an Office 365 subscriber) started crashing when I opened them. When I contacted Microsoft, they stated that Tahoe was the cause of the problem. I tried all of Microsoft's solutions, but I did not get any results. Is there an update from Tahoe regarding this issue?

But with one variation. I needed to create a personal MS 365 account because I retired from work and was cut off from the work-related account. I still had the old apps on my system and it was signing me into that account. So, I needed to sign out and then delete those apps...BUT, I also needed to uninstall and replace the apps I downloaded directly from the MS 365 site and replace them with the App Store versions.


I am not sure which was mainly causing the problem, but I suspect it was the direct download from my MS 365 page--which is inexcusable, but perfectly in form for MS.

I've found the App Store versions of the MS365 apps to be much more stable than what you can download and install directly from MS.


Personally, I'd recommend completely removing the versions installed from MS and installing the App Store versions instead.


Complete removal is a PITA, and somewhat time consuming, but in the long run, it will make things easier.

All my 365 Apps are from the App Store not from MS.


14" Apple M4 on Tahoe 26.0.1


I've uninstalled the apps, reinstalled them. Deleted the cach files com files everything that has been suggested but the issue returns. The only way I have been able to consistently keep Outlook open is to revert to Legacy. This is affecting multiple machines in our company.


There's nothing in crash logs, no warning, Outlook (+word and ppt) just disappear. I usually only notice because my phone will buzz for a new email instead of me seeing it on my Mac.


I note erdallbay suggests a time machine reset worked but unsure if it's still working.
