iPad 11" (A16) on iPadOS 18 completely frozen after opening Gemini App, force restart ineffective

Hello, my iPad became completely unresponsive after opening the Gemini app. Here are the details:

**1. Device Information:**

* **iPad Model:** iPad 11" (A16 )

* **iPadOS Version:** iPadOS 18

* **Purchase Info:** Purchased on August 27, 2025, in Taipei, Taiwan

* **Problematic App:** Google Gemini

**2. Problem Description:**

* The screen is completely frozen on the Gemini app interface, touch input is not working.

* The bottom "swipe bar" (Home Indicator) cannot be swiped, making it impossible to return to the Home Screen or switch apps.

* Cannot access the Control Center or Notification Center.

**3. Troubleshooting Steps I Have Already Taken:**

* ✅ Attempted a software shutdown (via the slide to power off menu) → **Ineffective**

* ✅ Attempted a "Force Restart": Pressed and held the "Top Button" + "Any Volume Button" until the power off slider appeared and disappeared, but the device showed **no response at all**. The screen did not go black, and the Apple logo did not appear.

**My Questions:**

* In this scenario where even a force restart doesn't work, are there any other methods I can try?

* The device was purchased in Taipei in August 2025 and is still under warranty. If I cannot resolve this myself, what should be the next step?

Thank you for your time and help!

I originally wanted to use Apple Support on my phone, but my iPhone 7 Plus is too old and can't download the Apple Support app. Please, everyone, help me with this. I have only 99 days left until I take Taiwan's university entrance exam (GSAT), and all my study materials are on the iPad. If this really can't be fixed, I'll have to go to the Apple Store in Taiwan tomorrow.

You appear to have installed an iPadOS beta - and not a production (supported) version of iPadOS.

As you are currently enrolled in a beta programme, should you wish to return to using the current production version, this Apple support page provides the necessary information to remove the beta from your iPad:

How to uninstall iOS or iPadOS beta software - Apple Support

Be aware that restoring the production version of iPadOS will completely reset and erase your iPad.
