Why whatsapp keeps logging me out in ipad

For the past few months, WhatsApp Web has been logging me out every now and then. It’s really annoying because I have to reconnect the device quite often.

I access WhatsApp through Chrome on my laptop running Windows 10, and it stays logged in no matter how many times I close the window or restart the computer.

However, when I connect to WhatsApp Web on my iPad, it suddenly logs out.

The issue persists despite the following attempts:

Accessing through Safari, Chrome, or Edge on the iPad
Turning off website tracking in Safari settings
Disabling the “Hide IP address from trackers” option

This problem didn’t happen about a year ago, but now it occurs all the time and is really frustrating.

My iPad specifications:

iPad Air (5th generation)
iPadOS 18.6.2

Could you please help me with this issue?

Just to follow up on this…: I’ve been using the WhatsApp App for iPad for a few days, and it works perfectly. I’m really thankful for answering so quickly and letting me know that the App was launched.

I think we can close the thread…

You're very welcome.

Until relatively recently, the WhatsApp Messenger App has only been available for iPhone - and as such, WhatsApp was only accessible to iPad using the web interface. Now that the App has extended support to iPad, you have this option as well.

I'm delighted to learn that your difficulties have been fully resolved.

As for closing this thread, there isn't a method by which you or other contributors can "close it". Within a few months of inactivity, the thread will be automatically locked - after which additional posts won't be possible.

No. I wasn’t aware of it. I looked some time ago into forums and all users strongly recommended accessing whatsapp via web over Apps existing at that moment. I will give it a try. Thank you!!
