Recovering accidentally deleted 'bookmark' folder in Safari

I inadvertently deleted a "bookmark" folder. Can I get it back? If I can recover it, how do I go about doing that? Is it in the "Trash?" Shouldn't it be in the "Trash?" Will it be relatively easy, or am I going to need a Ph.D. in computer science to figure it out?
