I purchased things on apps a while ago that I didn’t have the money for, but it will not let me cancel them. I do not want to retry purchasing these items(i don’t have the money for them anyway) and i cannot update my apps because of this, I know you’re not able to cancel pending transactions, but does anyone know how I can update my apps if it’s saying i cannot until these purchases go through??

Unfortunately there is no way to do this.
You must complete the legal transaction you entered into and complete the payment before Apple will let you resume using the store services including updating existing apps and downloading free ones.
Once payment is completed, you can try to request a refund for them though.

Sorry, for not having better news. Apple is very very strict with payments methods since those can cause fiscal responsibilities and monetary responsibilities to the developers as well from Apple.
