AirPods automatic connection to TV.

my AirPods2, whether they were inside or outside the case, as long as they were charged, would automatically connect to my TV as soon as I turned it on. Now they won’t do that anymore. I have to go into settings on the TV and re-pair them this isn’t a major problem, and I suppose it could be a TV problem, but it is annoying. Any clue what happened.
