Find My Location Unavailable

So I've had my AirPods stolen two times already. When I went into find my to locate them it said location unavailable and I never was able to get them back. Is there a way to fix this? Or did I set it up wrong? And should I get AirPods again? I don't want to keep spending hundreds of dollars for something that gets stolen so easily and I can't even locate it to get it back.

If your lost AirPods are listed as unavailable, it could be because they've run out of power, aren't near a phone that can relay the signal, or have been reset to factory settings. In those cases, there's not much you can do.

If you loved your AirPods, you definitely want a pair again. No matter what brand you choose, they can get lost or stolen. You just have to take a little more care of them.
