password to open Mac not working

I have tried to entre my password to access my laptop which i have only used once, but it will not accept it.

I have erased mac, but it still askes me to enter my linked apple account informaiton and then doesn't allow me to log it, I am guessing it is now locked as I get the activation Lock screen.

Is there anything else I can do? maybe have to wait the 7 days as it says.

really annoyed as I had not used it for a few weeks due to having a work computer, any help would be greatly received.
