CarPlay Display Zoom not working

I am having issues trying to turn on the new display zoom feature for CarPlay on iOS 26. The other day I get in my car and my CarPlay display looked zoomed out, more clean, fitting more apps and taking advantage of my large car display.

However when I went into to settings > display to find the new DisplayZoom feature it wasn’t there. I dug around my phones CarPlay settings and couldn’t find it either. It was supposed to be under the settings in CarPlay as many journalists had reported on how to use it.

Today, the CarPlay is now reverted to the original look and I’m confused on how to get it looking like it was before, on how to turn on this new feature.

I am using a wireless CarPlay adapter on a 2020 C300. I’m on the latest iOS 26.1 on iPhone 17. Can someone please help or explain what is happening. Thank you kindly.
