TrackPad not letting me do anything other than left click. Pls Help

I left my laptop on, went to eat, came back and it wont let me do anything other than left click and move mouse around. It doesn't let me right click, switch windows, scroll or anything of the sorts. Every time I try to do one of these action like scrolling, it just acts as if only one finger was on trackpad and just moves my mouse up. I just settings and everything was fine and I also tried restarting

MacBook Pro (M1 Pro, 2021)

you do not say what exact mac...

you do not say what exact macOS...

or what might of changed recently.

Look for any external sign you battery may be swelling causing seam separation/ or not sitting flat on the table any longer(?) — this can certainly impact the trackpad.

To trouble shoot further you can:

—A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

unplug all non-essential peripherals when testing

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS
