Apple CarPlay disconnecting

Currently just upgraded to an iPhone 17 pro. While in the car after plugging my phone up CarPlay will work then just disconnect after a few seconds. I’ve tried switching ports and plugging the cord in different ways but it never stays connected to the CarPlay
