I can't register a new subscription to Apple TV on my Sony Android TV. The TV app keeps asking me to register, and I keep getting e-mail from Google TV that action is required "use your subscription". I have done this, including watching several shows and changing options in the TV app.
Google TV tells me to contact the developer.

This is a user-to-user forum. Apple staff doesn’t participate here. To reach the Apple Support staff for assistance:
Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).
If there is any issue with details on your account that might be a cause for the failure to sign in to the Apple TV app, then they should be able to help you out.
I have done this, including watching several shows and changing options in the TV app.
Please note that Apple allows watching first episodes of select Apple TV tv shows without having a proper subscription. Thus a working subscription should be confirmed by watching something different: any Apple TV subscription movie, or episode number 2 of an Apple TV tv show.
Not sure what Google TV would have to do with the Apple TV. They are separated services.
Why would google tv even send you an email about it.
You should just need to log in with the Apple Account that holds the Apple TV+ subscription.
Google Tv should not be involved at all.
Google TV is their subscription service and app.

Yes I know, Apple does it too. It's impossibly confusing.
Google Play yes, Google TV no. Those are separate things.
Google Play is Google's billing platform. Google TV is their subscription service and app.
If you subscribed through Google Play, then you log in with your Google account and it should enable the subscription and access to Apple TV+ content.
Google Tv is a different service, and while it may also be using your Google account it should have no real ties to the Apple TV subscription. The subscription will just appear in the Google TV App.
While your Google TV subscription may require some action, this is probably not related to the Apple TV subscription is what I'm trying to say.
If you can successfully play any episode from any show in the Apple TV+ catalog, then your subscription is working fine.
