Is there anyway to transfer data from an old iCloud account you are locked out of into a new iCloud account?
Someone hacked my old iCloud account and not only did they change the password, they changed the phone number. Therefore, it is physically impossible for me to get into my account because the security code gets sent to the new phone number. This person is an imposter and has stolen my identity. I have very important files on this account, including everything on my Notes App. Not only do I use this app to keep track goals and for day-to-day planning, but I'm a creative and I use this app for work. These files are no longer backed up by an account I can access. Thankfully, however, they are stored on my MacBook.
I called Apple Support and they told me that because the hacker changed the phone number, there is no possible way the account can be recovered. This is outrageous and a huge security flaw, because I am now locked out of my account while the security measures in place are protecting the hackers who locked me out of my account in the first place. That said, I am determined to get my notes back.
I created a new iCloud account. Given that all of my notes are stored on my laptop, is there anyway to carry them over to my new iCloud account? When I login to this new account, the data that's stored on my laptop disappears. I'd like these notes to be accessible on both my phone and laptop once again.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.
