Mac running hot when running Safe Exam Browser, but only my mac

Is there anyone here who's also using a mac to run Safe Exam Browser for quizzes? Im having this issue, my mac turned hot while running a seb file. I dont know why is this happening because i have also asked to several of my friends whos also using their mac to run a seb file, and they're not experiencing this issue. Im currently using a MacBook Air 13, M1 and yes i have asked a friend whos also using the exact same mac to run the exact same file also were running the same app because my friend asked me to airdrop the dmg file to install it on her mac but shes not experiencing the issue. Please help how can i solve this problem cause sometimes it can get super hot and the battery drains so fast. Thanks!

Create a fresh macOS user account with no background apps:

System Settings → Users & Groups → Add User

Log into the clean user → run SEB.

→ 99% of the time, the overheating disappears instantly.

This proves the cause is software, not your Mac.

This and similar educational apps can share similarities with malware, and you will want to install it and run it for as long as you need to, and no more.

You will want to report the overhead-related issues to the Browser vendor app support.

How to see what background apps that is taking so much battery. Its so annoying, cause my study materials are in my main user
