Mail Won't Send Unless There Is An Error in the text

For quite a while now, Mail on my MacBook Pro will only send if I make sure there is a mistake in the body of the email. As long as it has to stop to show me the error, the message will send, otherwise it just freezes and I have to save the message in drafts, then create a mistake. This does not happen on either my iPad or phone. Updating to Tahoe didn't help. I bought this Mac in 2022.
