Safari on Mac unable to log in to secure websites

I am having issues with Safari on my Mac running Mac OS 13.7.8 Venture. Some of my secure web sites will not allow me to sign in and says the site is invalid. Yet I can log in on my ipad just fine with the same address. I can access other websites just fine, the problem seems to be when logging in to an account.

Today I tried to log in to my Apple ID and it rejects my password but I can sign in just fine on my ipad. Can anyone tell me what to look for that might cause this weird actions? I ran Malwarbytes and found no problems with my computer.

macOS 13 is obsolete and no longer supported. The version of Safari in Ventura is no longer considered secure by modern web standards.

You will have to try a different browser or, if possible, update your Mac to a supported version of macOS.

macOS 14 Sonoma is now the oldest supported version of macOS.
