What to do when you spill water on your iPhone?

I spilled water out of a bottle onto my iPhone. It wasn't a whole lot. What now?

If you’re using an iPhone 7 or later, just give it a wipe and it should be fine. iPhone 7s and later generations are resistant (to different extents), and can generally withstand a some spilled water unless there is damage to the phone which may cause water to enter. As long as it’s working fine, you can just wipe it down and continue to use it. It’s worth noting that you should not charge your phone while the port is wet as this may cause damage, so waiting a while before charging is a good idea, although it will usually warn you not to charge if you try to with a wet port.
