Keynote video recording issues.

In Keynote, when adding a slide, there is an option to choose “Title, Bullets & Live Video.”

When I open the slide, it gives me the slide information on the left side

slide title

slide subtitle

main slide for bullet text.

Ok, makes perfect sense

My frustration is with the “Live Video” icon on the right side of the slide. It lets me turn on the camera so I can see myself, but it doesn't let me record anything.

What is the purpose of selecting this as a slide option if it doesn't give me the functionality to record?

What is the purpose or benefit of offering a slide with video included if you can easily record? Why is there no simple record button to add a video to the slide?

I am using Keynote 14.4

I have an Apple Pro 15 and an iOS version of 18.6.2

My iPad iOS version is 17.7.10

My iPad model is iPad Pro (2nd generation)

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18
