I’M WONDERING IF ANYONE ElSE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM?

Ok so first off I had 2 different IPhones, one was a 11 and the other one was a 13 and I had my ICloud logged into both of them. Keep in mind that I have had my ICloud for about 4-6 years at this time, so my cousin broke her Android phone and didn’t have money to get another one so she asked if she could use my 13 because I was not currently using it at the time but in reality she really just took it from my kids 😊 but and so this is her first time using a IPhone and I am still a little green about IPhones even tho I had had 2 in like 4-6 years I still didn’t know a whole lot about the phone really so she makes her a ICloud account on the 13 and I am still using my 11 now here is where it started getting weird. Now this is just me speculating but I think she just logged me out of the 13 some how and didn’t fully possibly factory reset the phone or something but even tho she was logged into the 13 with her ICloud that she made up and I was still logged into my 11 but for some reason whenever one of us would add a new contact in our phones for some reason the same contact would end up in the other person’s phone and then whenever one of us would add appts to the calendar one our phones it would end up on the other person’s calendar for some reason. We couldn’t figure out what was going on and why our phones were doing that. Then her phone froze while she had to finish some CEUs for work so she asked if she could use my phone to log in real quick and finish her CEUs and then log out once she was done but for some reason whenever she was done she tried to log out but for some reason the password she kept using was not working and even though she kept trying to get a new password when ever she would try to log out or log in the new password still wouldn’t work so for several months I had to just use her account on my phone and then some how I figured out how to login so that I could still play my games and log into my social media accounts but it kept saying that my ICloud account didn’t exist when I know exactly what my account info is and I wouldn’t forget it so we called Apple Support to talk to them to try to get help to get her logged out of my phone so that I can log into my phone with my ICloud account but when the Apple Support person looked up my account and he said he couldn’t find one with the ICloud account I gave him which made no sense because I had been using my account for several years now so he told me to try to sign up for an account using my account that I asked him to look up and he said if the account I used before existed then I wouldn’t be able to sign up with the same account it would let me know that the account was already in use but when I signed up with my account that I have been using for the past several years it actually went through and I couldn’t understand how it went through and after I logged into my account on my phone all of my pictures that I had on my phone were all blank because I thought I was doing the right thing by backing up my pictures that were on my phone to the same account I just logged in to but I can’t figure out why this happened and I cannot figure out where to get them at because they are not all on her phone for some reason but all of our accounts seem to be merging together and she can’t seem to change her password for some reason. If anyone knows what we could possibly do to change her password or help us figure out what we can do to fix this.

iPhone 11, iOS 18

Don't log someone else's account into your device. That will end up merging all the data from your device and anything in your iCloud into the other persons account. With someone else's Apple Account signed into your device you will not be able to remove it without the password to that account and if you mistakenly enter the password for the other account too many times, then it will be locked.

The proper way to allow another person to use a device with their Apple Account is by completely resetting it and following the steps here:

If your cousin cannot gain access to her account by changing the password or requesting Account Recovery, then the only way to remove that account from your phone is by submitting proof of purchase documentation to remove the Activation Lock.

  • Steps to take when forgetting the Password.

  • When unable to use the normal steps to reset the Password, then you have to use Account Recovery. This usually involves a waiting period and you will need to read the steps carefully, especially where the account recovery will be cancelled if you use the device during that time under certain conditions.

  • To submit proof of ownership documentation when the account cannot be recovered, follow the steps here. In most cases here we see that the proof of ownership is the original purchase receipt from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller, since Apple does not get involved in third party sales and unable to prove validity of any other receipt.

AI generated summary: “Two iPhones, one with iCloud account issues, are experiencing merged data and login problems. Despite attempts to resolve the situation, including contacting Apple Support, the issue persists, leaving the user unable to access their iCloud account and photos.”

Distilling that summary further, presumably the two devices have each been reset and backups not restored, and that the Apple Accounts are not shared, and both passwords changed. Any previously-shared contact and password and other iCloud data and local data lingering will then need to be manually de-conflicted.

We both have factory reset both phones and for some reason when she goes to forgot password she can’t get it to act right after she changes the password it says that it is wrong so she will keep changing it and she can’t ever get it work so she can log out of my phone so I can log in to mine. We still cannot figure out where my account went to and I am using the same account log in that I used before but all of my pictures and files I had on my old account are all gone and I’m still getting charged from the old account but the new account is not showing the transactions which is very weird

That makes no sense when we were both logged into our own accounts so that makes no sense that our contacts and or calendar were the only things that were affected and then how did an account that I was using for 4-6 years just mysteriously disappear as if it never existed for the past several years and then I was able to access it as if i never used it before when I know I used it because it was my personal gmail account that no one else has but I was messing around with stuff on my phone and when I put my phone number in there it says it was linked to another account and it shouldn’t be on any other account but mine.
