Echo on speakerphone usually happens when the voice from your iPhone’s speaker enters the microphone. Try a force restart, clean the microphones, test without a case, disable special mic modes, and reset settings. If the echo persists, the top noise-canceling mic might be faulty and needs Apple diagnostics.

When you’re on an iPhone and the person you’re calling hears an echo only when you use the speakerphone, the issue is almost always on their device, not yours. Your speaker isn’t causing the feedback — it’s their phone’s microphone picking up their own audio and sending it back to you. In short, they’re the one who needs to check their device or settings, not you.
