Apple Music songs not playing on S23 phone and iPad

My Apple Music, including songs, albums and playlists, played fine on 12/5/25 on my S23 phone and my ipad. The next day, 12/6/25, most songs would not play on either device. What happened between 12/5/25 and 12/6/25 to not be able to play on either device?

Log out of Apple Music on both devices → log back in

This forces Apple Music to refresh its content authorization key.


On Android (S23):

Apple Music → Settings → Account → Sign Out → Sign In


On iPad:

Settings → Your Name → Media & Purchases → Sign Out → Sign In

This alone fixes the issue for most users.
