Unable to ping devices in Find My iPhone app after iOS 26 update

Never mind. It was a setting. I found the problem. I was on the people tab, not the device tab. Again, I’m not the most savvy when it comes to these phones But thank you for your input

iOS 26.1. I checked my wife’s phone and it’s doing the same way. Before the update, I was able to play a sound. Now, it’ll help me find it by direction but I used the play sound for more than just finding the phone. I used it to wake my kids up sometimes if they put their phones on silent. It seems almost like apple got rid of this function but I don’t know enough about anything to say if they did or it’s a setting

My wife’s and kids iphones. No error messages, the option just doesn’t show up anymore. And I also can’t see their watches or the iPads. Only their phones

Yes. I just checked and it’s weird. I’m sharing with my kids but not my wife. I clicked on the share button and it won’t stay on. However, I can still locate her in messages and on the find my iPhone app.
