Unable to make and receive calls via Mac's phone app

I am using a 16" M2 Macbook Pro. I upgraded to macOS Tahoe 26.1 just today. Off late, I noticed I've not been able to make or receive calls in Mac.

Both my iPhone and Mac are logged in with the same apple account, they're in the same WiFi home network. Calls from iPhone are allowed to be answered in Mac through "Calls on Other Devices".

I still keep getting the below error

Appreciate any help here.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 26.1

Yes used to work before, but I can confidently say, it's been many months since I took and made calls from Mac.

My Mac is managed by my firm's IT, through a profile, and few configurations and settings are controlled by this work profile, e.g. Airdrop is disabled. JFYI. I don't think this has anything to do with the issue, due to the fact it used to work previously.

I didn't download any software and all Mac apps I use now are standard enterprise apps used for work.

Hope this helps
