AFAIK there has never been a way to "join" multiple songs in iTunes/Music so that they behave as a single uninterrupted track.

At one time there was a way to join two or more songs in sequence from a CD at the time you imported the songs but not after they were already imported into iTunes/Music.

You can merge the songs into a single track using QuickTime, Audacity or any other audio editing app. Of course you then need to import the resulting audio file into iTunes/Music.

That's not right. On previous os versions of iTunes you could select songs when the CD was to rip and the 'cogwheel' would give an option to "Join Tracks". So when the CD ripped it would join any number of selected tracks as one. You could do a whole album as one file or only certain tracks.

That's exactly what I said in my previous post. You could join tracks at the time you import a CD into iTunes. You just can't do it after the fact.
